What if my helix track is the mirror image of the options shown?
When selecting the exit angle for your helix, it does not matter if, on your track plan, the entry and exits of your helix are reversed, or if the whole helix is reversed and spirals the other way compared to the diagram in the chart. Only the angle between your helix entry and exit matters for this step. You don't need to measure any angles to make your selection, simply click on the angle diagram that most closely matches your track and helix layout, as if it was a mirror reflection ( i.e. reversed, compared to your actual track layout)
What is Helix Exit Angle?
Background Info: At the top of the helix, the track can exit at many different angles compared to the entrance at the bottom of the helix. Because the helix rises as it turns, every exit angle has a different height.
To address this, we provide vertical rise charts for eight different exit angles. When you click on the exit angle diagram in the table that matches your track plan , the correct vertical rise chart will be loaded for you. You can then select the perfect helix with the correct vertical rise for your layout!
